Deposit

The deposit is $2,500 USD per person, per trip and is non-refundable. Payment can be made by check, bank transfer, Venmo, Wise, Revolut or Zelle. Sending in the deposit means that you agree to all of our Terms and Conditions as listed on our website.

Travel insurance is mandatory for all trips. Deposits cannot be transferred to other trips without express written permission from The Adventure Project.

TRIP OVERVIEW

ABOUT THE TRIP

This will be an 10-day, 9-night program based at the Nevados de Chillan ski area in central Chile. This is

a guided experience where we will be exploring the resort and backcountry around the ski area. There

are 7 guided ski and ride days included in this program and 1 cultural day. This trip is being run through

an experienced international ski tour operator called The Adventure Project LLC (TAP). TAP have been

running this program to Nevados de Chillan since 2016.

ABOUT THE MOUNTAIN

Nevados de Chillan is approximately 400 km south of Santiago and 194 km east from Concepcion (our

point of arrival). The ski area has an average snowfall of 10m (the most in Chile) and has the longest run

in South America (13km Las Tres Marias). There are 12 lifts, with 5 chairlifts and 7 drag lifts. The village

sits at 1,403m (4,600ft) with the summit at 2,500m (8,200ft), so the vertical drop is 1,097m or 3,600ft.

ABOUT THE AREA

Nevados de Chillan is situated next to 3 volcanoes (1 of them active) and has a lot of fun terrain that

was shaped by lava flow, so there are a lot of bowls, gullies and natural half-pipes to explore. There is a

lot of easily accessible sidecountry that requires little to no hiking to reach and there is so much terrain

that you can easily find untouched snow. There are plenty of options inbounds for intermediate and

advanced skiers and boarders, to improve their skills.

If you like to tour, there are some amazing options. You can hike into the next valley over and have a really long powder or hike up to the top of a volcano and see views of the higher Andes.

SUGGESTED ITINERARY

Departure – Day before the start date of the trip (31st July), departure from home country for Santiago. Overnight international flight to Santiago.

Day 1 – Arrive Santiago (SCL). Take a domestic flight to Concepcion (CCP). Arrive Concepcion and pick-up by The Adventure Project team – Depart for Nevados de Chillan, 173 km (108 miles) – approximately 2 hours 45 minutes by private van. Welcome drink and dinner at Hotel Alto Nevados.

Day 2 – Breakfast. Group ski in morning, separate into groups. For more experienced groups that are going to be skiing/riding outside the ski area boundary, we will conduct our avalanche safety training for the rest of the day. Dinner at Hotel Alto Nevados.

Day 3 – Breakfast. Ski and ride Nevados de Chillan. Dinner at Hotel Alto Nevados.

Day 4 – Breakfast. Ski and ride Nevados de Chillan. Dinner at Hotel Alto Nevados.

Day 5 – Breakfast. Ski and ride Nevados de Chillan. Dinner at Hotel Alto Nevados.

Day 6 – Breakfast. Cultural day in Chillan. Visit to Santa Berta Winery, lunch at Casona Violetta Restaurant and visit to Chillan markets. If you are still hungry when you get back to the hotel, you can have dinner at the hotel.

Day 7 – Breakfast. Ski and ride Nevados de Chillan. Dinner at Hotel Alto Nevados.

Day 8 – Breakfast. Ski and ride Nevados de Chillan. Dinner at Hotel Alto Nevados.

Day 9 - Breakfast. Ski and ride Nevados de Chillan. Dinner at Hotel Alto Nevados.

Day 10 – Breakfast. Depart Nevados de Chillan in the morning for afternoon flights back to Concepcion and onto Santiago.

INCLUSIONS & EXCLUSIONS

10-day hosted trip, including 7 days of guided skiing and riding.
Private transfer to and from Nevados de Chillan to Concepcion airport.
9 nights’ double, twin-share or single-share accommodation at the Hotel Alto Nevados, a ski-in, ski- out property, including breakfast.
9 nights of buffet dinner.
Free access to the hot springs pool adjacent to the property.
Cultural day that includes transportation, wine tasting and private winery tour, private late lunch, visit to local markets in Chillan.
Minimum of 4 guests per group, with a maximum of 8 guests per group, with an experienced local guide or guide from The Adventure Project.
Comprehensive avalanche safety training (where appropriate).
7 days of lift tickets included.

Lunches (budget $8 - $15 per day depending on where you want to eat and how much food you want
to eat).
Equipment hire (it is advised to bring all your own equipment as the local hire equipment is not of a
high standard).

Rechargeable RFID lift pass (approximately $5).
Additional tours such as heli-skiing or snow-mobile tours etc.
